A Magical Cirque Christmas

December 10, 2022 Reviews Comments Off on A Magical Cirque Christmas

It’s beginning to look a lot like Christmas with the help of Magic Space Entertainment and the new Magical Cirque Christmas playing at the CIBC Theatre.

It’s a simple story. A guardian of time, a glass enclosed magical clock, a countdown to the holidays and some time travel all to some great holiday music. The mistress of ceremonies is Carisa Hendrix aka Lucy Darling. She has a few tricks up her sleeve (involving bottles of whiskey) and is adorable bantering with audience members. In addition, her ad lib skills are spot on.

The performers had me on the edge of my seat with some amazing cirque/circus style acts. Kevin DeMaro is so agile and graceful as he performs with hula hoops and flying poles. Some of the other acts include a gyroscope acrobat, juggles, a Rolla Bolla and a unicyclist. They all bring something special to this show and just when you think they have gone as far as they can they go a little bit farther leaving you in awe.

The show runs 100 minutes with a 15-minute intermission and is playing through December 11. This is certainly a treat for the whole family.
