WRITER’S THEATRE

It has amazed me for over 5 years how this 50 seat theatre consistently produces such excellent work.

And their newest production by Australian writer Robert Hewett is no exception. I am always leary when I hear the play is going to be a one person show, but Writers Theatre has shown in the past that they can handle it. And when you have the talented actress Deborah Staples you are in for an enthralling performance. Ms Staples is able to transform into 7 different characters whose lives are so intertwined. This powerful drama is directed by Joseph Hanreddy, and the sets designed by Linda Buchanan really set the stage in this production. This show concludes Writers’ Theatre 20th anniversary season, and this is the best of the season. The show runs until July 29th 2012, and I can see how seats will be hard to find. If you’re out to see one good drama this season, then you must see “The Blonde, The Brunette and the Vengeful Redhead.
